Title: Checking out the Scenery

This part of Manhattan is home to several businesses and attractions, being home to Stark Tower and Grand Central Station. It is one of the busier sections with frequent traffic jams and impatient pedestrians. From here, one can enter the subway's major terminal, or head off to Grammercy Park, the Upper East Side or back to Manhattan's lower areas.

In the warm weather, many folks have chosen lighter colored clothing to offset the summer heat that comes down from above as well as the heat that steams from the pavement below. At least, those who can. The Sunday attire has bested some.

Returning from Chelsea, Mike is dressed in Sunday attire. Not exactly the high priced attire he'd wear at a celebrity charity event but you can only knock dress pants and a white dress shirt so much. In lieu of the ballcap, Mike's lengthening hair is pulled back into a nub of a ponytail, keeping the strands from provided unneeded cover for the back of his neck. The celeb pauses outside the Blue Moon, frowning to the police tape that still adorns part of the establishment. Shaking his head, he moves on towards his home.

Standing just outside of the establishment she frequents, a white haired young woman has a phone in her hand pointed upwards to one of the most grandiose buildings in the city. Felicia has her hair pulled back, tied in a pony tail, much longer than Mike's, with an orange band. She has a large bag held under her elbow with straps over her shoulder. A white spaghetti strapped shirt keeps her decent and a pair of yoga pants covers her legs to just below the knee. A simple pair of black shoes on her feet protect her toes from the hot concrete. "Excuse me." She says, apologetically as she almost walks into Mike.

Mike adjusts his steps as the glimpse of someone coming too close to him registers in his vision. With the collision averted, he takes a moment to consider the newcomer with the phone pointed in an odd manner. "No problem." He replies, forgiving the offense that never came to be. "Signal troubles?"

Lowering her phone and using a hand to push a few stray strands of hair behind her ear, Felicia replies, "Nah, just taking a few photos. First time in the city. I feel like such a tourist." She lies but gives a nice toothy smile to the artist, her green eyes looking him up and down once quickly.

The pale blue of the musician's eyes respond in a similar vein, giving a bit of small smile. "Don't worry too much about it. Most of the people you see in the city during the day don't actually live here. And those who do rarely take the time to look around beyond the area they live and work in."

"That's a shame." The former gymnast notes, with a slight frown to her features. "I'm at least from upstate, not like a /true/ tourist, right?" She says playfully, hoping to make herself sound better than some out of state-er. Sliding her phone into her bag she looks behind for a moment at he bar with a frown, at the tape, curious to what happened, but she doesn't voice her thoughts.

Mike chuckles, "I find that in New York City. EVERYONE's a tourist at some point. Even those who live here. So, it doesn't matter where you're from to begin with." He pauses, following Felicia's glance over to the Blue Moon. "That is a good place to go to around Mardis Gras if you ever find yourself back here around then."

"It seems like that's becoming more and more likely. Work has me coming to the city more and more." That's definitely not a lie. Blushing a little suddenly she shows her teeth in another smile, "My name's Felicia by the way."

As Felicia offers her name, Mike offers his hand, "Mike." He gives in return, smile warming up a bit more, "I hope work allowed for you to be here for the Fourth. There were some really great fireworks displays."

Her cheeks going to a darker color once more, "I may have partied a bit too hard to remember the fireworks. I know I had a good time though." She winks rapidly, then looks back up to Stark Tower and then at the main doors before finally she looks at Mike once more, "I do get to set my own schedule though, so that perk helps on holidays."

"That's very nice." Mike replies, "Mine varies a bit depending on what goes on." He shrugs, "Sometimes I'm on my schedule, sometimes others. Sometimes I work holidays, sometimes not." He pauses, considering Felicia, "Are you here for work this time around?"

"That sounds more stressful in regards to not knowing." Felicia laughs with a small chuckle. Looking up towards the sky and squinting a little, she pulls out a pair of glasses from her bag and slip them over her eyes, "I'm here for work, but I'm off today. Hence the taking photo's and stuff."

"Not entirely." Mike replies, "I like my job for the most part. A hand slides into his pocket as he glances over towards the Baxter building in consideration, "Have you done the Statue of Liberty yet?"

Raising her eyebrows above the rim of her glasses, Felicia snickers a touch before resetting her features to a normal smile. "No, not yet." Then getting a touch bolder she asks, "Are you inviting me?"

"Yes I am." Mike replies, giving a nod, "I know someone who might be able to snag us some last minute reservations. There's also a helicopter tour if you don't feel like going up all those steps."

"I'd have to be a fool or very suspicious to turn you down." Felicia says rather bluntly, but with a brow still peeking from behind her shades she asks, "Is this a first date Mike? Cause if it is, I must warn you. I'm quite the handful."

"Yes it is." The musician confirms, giving a nod of the affirmative, fishing out a rather old model cellphone, that, despite it being a friggen Nokia, looks absolutely mint condition. "And I have my quirks too. The fun will be figuring them out."

"Then don't dawdle, let's get a move on." Felicia says with a smile waiting for the artist to move along and lead the way.

Mike nods, turning to face in the direction of the nearest subway, all while dialing a set of numbers on the phone before bringing it up to his ear. He glances back to make sure Felicia's coming along as he waits for the guy on the other end of the line to answer.
