Title: | Behind the scenes at Avengers Mansion |
The decor of the large room is very VERY simple. There is a bed. Over to the far end of the room, furthest from the entrance, the music gear rests. Drum pads, The actual kit, keyboard, two guitars upon stands, and a violin case.
There's also a sketch pad, a note pad, and writing utensils. Thaaaaat's about it. For you snoops out there, the sketch pad contains sketches of people Mike has seen in passing. There may even be more than one of Wade, Felicia, Loki, and a woman who bears some resemblance to Mike himself.
In an odd feature of the room, there is a door on the same wall as the window, which logicaly should not be there. Nor is it a part of the original building designs.
**After a long morning of training, practice, work, and research, Mike is in need of a drink and some relaxation time. But he doesn't have long before it's time to take a powernap before going patrolling in the evening. So, something simple…
Mike smiles, having an idea of what and leaves his room.**
A series of hallways leads one to have access to the various rooms and quarters of all the members of the Avengers, some guest rooms and some rooms for staff members of the facility.
The hallways are all carpetted in dark red and the walls are a fine dark oak with pictures and light sconces hung periodically between the large bedroom doorways. There are very large windows that look out onto the grounds beyond and they allow sunlight to shine in.
Here and there throughout the hallways are seating areas for people to take a moment and sit / relax. This floor is very quiet and is monitored by the same security system found throughout the mansion… but there is no visible sign of said security system.
The elevator is simple and sleek. The walls have a single banister that goes around the edge, the bottom half of the wall beneath a stainless steel. The half above the banister are mirrors.
The controls are a holographic display by the door with available options for the main floor, the two above floors and rooftop access. To access restricted floors, the appropriate code, voice and eye verifications must be made.
As is with the rest of the mansion, there is survellience systems here, and for unauthorized attempted access to the restricted sub floors will result in the elevator locking down with the person inside.
Avengers Mansion
The main floor of the mansion serves as an office level as well as conferences for both the members of the Avengers as well as any outsiders with verified appointments. It also contains the main dining hall as well as the main kitchen and these two areas are likely where the largest number of individuals can be found, from mansion staff to authorized visitors.
The main foyer of the mansion is a large open room with a deep burgandy carpeting. There is a massive dark wooden staircase on the wall opposite of the main entryway and it curves its way up to the second story of the mansion. At the base of the staircase is a set of wooden double doors that silently part to serve as an elevator to reach all the levels, but above and below ground.
The main foyer also consists of several seating areas for large, or small groups of people. Ornate furniture, sofas and chairs, as well as tables with well kept flowers and small sculptures. There are two large windows next to the main entrance and several more following the staircase' progression up the wall, these add a great deal of daylight and when its night, the chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings provide all other necessary light.
The main dining hall is often used by the Avengers and is closer to a restaurant style of appearance. Long drapes hang from the windows, typically pulled back and tied to allow natural sunlight to filter in.
Various tables litter the area for smaller settings, though they can be easily combined for larger groups as needed.
The Mansion's Butler will receive orders and have them taken to the kitchen. The menu changes daily. There is a window where 'togo' orders can be asked for from the kitchen for those too busy to sit down.
The main kitchen of the mansion is expansive, to say the least. Its decor'd in black marble countertops and matching stone floors, all spotlessly clean. The cabinets are a bright white and each hold glass windows so one can look inside of them to see their contents.
There is a center countertop for food preparation and pots-and-pans hang overtop of this center counter in an orderly fashion. There are two refridgerators and two stoves, as well as two sinks in this kitchen.
A small seating area with a round table and six chairs around it sits near a large window that looks out onto the backyard.
There is a small dedicated kitchen staff to the mansion providing food to the residents on a daily routine.
Wade (IC) is here.
Mike takes the last beer.

The library is massive. Two floors full of collected materials from around the world. The age of many of these books varies, as well as topic- everything from early 1800's romance novels to more recent in depth scentific studies written by Dr. Banner himself.
The more recent of materials are on the bottom floor, rows and rows of bookcases line the vast space. Against another wall are terminals for research and digital copies of most books in the library for those that want to download to their tablet or other device for reading. Ladders slide against the higher cases against the walls to allow ones to get to the harder to reach books.
Spiral staircases raise to the second floor as well as a small elevator in the back corner. The upstairs books are older. The more delicate they are, the more security measures are put in place. The oldest are held in glass cases under lock and key to preserve them. In the backmost area of the upper floor there is a high security vault that takes the Director's special permission to access; housing the more dangerous, alien or mystical books that cannot be put on the main floor for obvious reasons.
At the front of the Library by the main, and only, door is a reception desk that is always manned by a librarian or assistant to manage checking out the materials.
Natasha (3m) is here.
Mike comes in carrying a can a beer, walks over to a bookshelf, looks to the titles, grabs one and heads out.

Seriously Tony, what the heck is up with this mansion layout?
The back patio is a circular area that opens up into the gardens beyond. The patio itself is half shaded by an awning, allowing for enjoying the sun, or not, at one's pleasure. A pair of tables with three seats a piece sit on the concrete patio, various potted plants and other flora offering some privacy from the rest of the area without being smothering.
Mike sits at table
Mike cracks open the beer, sighs, and opens the book.
Mike reads.
