In a display of unity between the the once previously separate worlds, Wayne Records and Golem Records teamed up for a charity fundraiser to benefit the victims of what has been commonly referred to as the world merge. Present at the benefit were music acts signed by each label including Golem Records' Nick Drago and Wayne Records' The Curk. Which were featured in another special announcement at the Gala.
.
The Curk, an Irish Folk Rock Band based out of Gotham lost their primary vocalist Liam Murphy during the merge at a time when they were developing their most recent album. Drago, based out of New York, but with ties to the Jersey area that got overwritten by Gotham has stepped forward to assist the grieving group to finish their album, resulting in what has been described as 'both a tribute and transitional album as The Curk seek their new sound."
.
Drago, who is no stranger to the loss of bandmates himself, is also releasing an album of his own with the proceeds of the title track, 'Hello World' going towards recovery efforts for those affected adversely by the merge.
.
Drago will be joining The Curk as they go on their world tour debuting their album while also doing promoting his album in a tour running parallel with the Irish band.
The Curk's 'Farewell to Liam' album will be released Friday, May 12th with Drago's 'Hello World' album releasing on May 19th. The combo tour starts on May 12th.

It has been a week since the world changing NEW incident and recovery efforts are still underway. With the appearance of new cities and overlapping buildings, plus even more additional land crashing into the UK just yesterday full of Norse speaking individuals, there is much confusion to what is going on. Many countries still have commercial flights grounded while their respective governments work out their security policies for the new cultures being introduced. Politicians all over the world are meeting with representatives of the new found neighbors to work out the basics of society as we know it: economics, laws, governmental structure. Others are circling the wagon, with rising tension and questions of 'Be they enemy or foe?' rising on both sides. One thing that is gradually becoming apparent for those of us that venture from the safety of our homes is that yes, we are different and yet, alike in many things.
.
We have already known we lived in an uncertain world with super powered beings running around amongst us. Some are good. Some are bad. Some are misguided and need to be reminded to hold themselves to a higher standard. We have had apocalypse type scenarios before and we have survived. If we take a step back and see what we have all done, what we have risen up and faced together, powered or not, we can view this merge between worlds as just another day where potential has been given to us. Will this be for the better or worse?
.
The answer does not just depend on those who have appeared, the politicians, celebrities, or powered beings. It also depends on you. Are you going to make the situation better, worse, or just sit back and let others do the driving for you?
.
If you are striving to make things better, the following are immediate ways to help…
